About FairValueX

Built for the scrutiny level auditors actually apply.

FairValueX, Inc. is an independent valuation firm. We value private-company equity and the instruments around it: 409A and ASC 718, purchase price allocations, portfolio valuations under ASC 820, and complex securities — documented so the auditor, the board and the next investor can follow every number from source to conclusion.

Led by a Managing Director whose valuation career runs through independent valuation firms and a Big 4 practice — disciplines where every judgment call must survive review by audit partners, opposing counsel, and regulatory examiners. Every engagement is held to the documentation standard that auditors, LPs, and counterparty counsel actually apply. Each report is reviewed and signed, before it is issued, by a credentialed valuation professional (ASA, CVA) engaged as an independent review signatory.

Leadership

Ahmad Alrashedi

Managing Director

Ahmad has spent his career in valuation, at independent valuation firms and in a Big 4 practice: 409A and stock-based compensation, earnouts, convertible notes, warrants and fair value work for startups, mid-market companies and funds, under ASC 718, ASC 805 and ASC 820.

He leads FairValueX and builds the systems its work runs on, so every number in a report can be traced from source to conclusion by the people who rely on it.

The Standard We Hold

Documentation discipline is the standard. We hold it on every engagement.

Most valuation deliverables are built manually — every time. Same methods, same steps, different analysts, different outputs. When an auditor asks how a conclusion was reached, the answer is: dig through emails and try to reconstruct it.

That's not a defensibility problem. That's a documentation standards problem.

"The bottleneck in valuation isn't methodology. It's documentation discipline."

FairValueX was built to solve that problem — so that every engagement produces a deliverable auditors can reconstruct, boards can defend, and LPs can rely on.

Leadership & Review
  • Engagement leadership — Ahmad Alrashedi, Managing Director; a valuation career at independent valuation firms and a Big 4 practice
  • Independent review — every report reviewed and signed, before it is issued, by a credentialed valuation professional (ASA, CVA)
  • Coverage — 409A, ASC 718, purchase price allocations, ASC 820 portfolio valuations and complex securities

Methodology & Documentation

Every engagement is documented through our proprietary audit documentation framework — computation lineage, judgment documentation, and deterministic reproducibility built into every deliverable. Before a report is issued, the review signatory reviews the methodology, verifies the key inputs and the analysis, and signs the attestation — expert judgment documented and substantiated at every step.

Every material assumption — documented, sourced, and reproducible.

Independence & Standards

FairValueX maintains independence from all clients. A conflict-of-interest check is performed before every engagement and independence is maintained throughout. Reports are prepared under USPAP and, where applicable, AICPA VS Section 100 — delivered under IRC §409A, ASC 718, ASC 805, and ASC 820 as applicable. IRC §409A reports are prepared to support the presumption of reasonableness for an independent appraisal under Treas. Reg. §1.409A-1(b)(5)(iv)(B)(2)(i); whether it applies is determined on the facts of each valuation. Each report is reviewed and signed, before it is issued, by a credentialed valuation professional (ASA, CVA) engaged as an independent review signatory — human expert judgment, not a signature formality. The signatory will be identified by name and credential in the engagement letter and on the signed attestation. Our framework's computation lineage provides verifiable reproducibility from the same source data and valuation-date inputs — every input, judgment, and output is traceable, timestamped, and deterministically reproducible.

Principles

What we believe.

Reproducibility Over Opinion

Same facts + same methodology = same result. Any qualified analyst should reach the same conclusion.

Speed Through Discipline

Rigorous process design eliminates procedural overhead — so analyst time goes to judgment, not procedure, and your deliverable arrives on the date fixed at scoping.

Credentialed Attestation

Every report is reviewed and signed by a credentialed valuation professional before it is issued. Human expert judgment — documented, signed, defensible.

Audit-Ready by Default

Every deliverable is built for scrutiny — not polished for it afterward. The audit binder is the primary output, not an afterthought.
