For attorneys, CPAs and fractional CFOs whose clients need a valuation.
When you introduce a client, you need to know who will do the work, who signs the report, and how your client will be treated. This page sets that out.
From introduction to delivery.
- You introduce the client by email, or send us their details with their permission.
- We reply within one business day and arrange a short scoping call with the client.
- The client receives a written scope and a fixed fee before any work begins. Nothing is billed before the engagement letter is signed.
- We deliver on the date in the engagement letter: one week from complete inputs for an Express 409A, two weeks for other engagements.
- We keep you informed when the engagement starts and when the report is delivered, if your client agrees.
- Who signs the report
Each report is reviewed and signed, before it is issued, by a credentialed valuation professional (ASA, CVA) engaged as an independent review signatory. The signatory is named in the engagement letter, so your client knows who stands behind the opinion before work starts.
- Confidentiality
Your client’s information is used only for their engagement. We do not share client data across engagements, and we do not name clients or referrers in our marketing without written consent.
- Independence
FairValueX has no financial interest in the companies it values, and each engagement starts with a conflict check. We do not provide audit, tax or legal services.
- Fees
The fixed fee and delivery date are confirmed in writing at scoping, before work begins.
Our practice.
FairValueX values private-company equity and the instruments around it: IRC §409A and ASC 718 valuations, purchase price allocations, portfolio valuations under ASC 820, and complex securities such as convertible notes, warrants and earnouts. Scope, fee and delivery date are fixed at scoping.
If you would like to see how a report is put together before you introduce anyone, ask for a specimen: a complete deliverable prepared on a fictitious company.
